Newark Airport (EWR) Ranks The Worst!
Newark’s Liberty International Airport (EWR) was ranked the worst airport for delays over 15 minutes or cancellations according to a report by AirHelp, a passenger rights organization. Based on the report only 64% of flights departing from EWR were on time. The report is based on available flight data from the month of June and July 2019 from airports that had over a thousand flights.
Flights out of the New York and New Jersey areas ranked some of the worst on the list with LaGuardia Aiport (LGA) ranking only slightly better at 66% and John F. Kennedy (JFK) coming in at 74%.
Granted the airports in this area handle an extremely large volume of flights which inevitably leads to delays and cancellations.
