Three New Restaurants Coming to Newark Airport (EWR)

Newark Liberty International Airport is upping its food game. Villa Restaurant Group announced Tuesday that it will be bringing three new restaurants to EWR this year with a fourth in the works. These new fast-service eateries are going to be located in Terminal B before the security screening area.

These restaurants will include Villa Restaurant Group’s branded restaurant, Tony & Benny’s Pizza Parlor, a partnership concept restaurant between Carlo’s Bakery (of “Cake Boss” fame) and Salsarita’s Fresh Mexican Grill, and will debut a full-service concept named Piattino: A Neighborhood Bistro.

With over 7 million passengers passing through Terminal B each year the group hopes to capitalize on the lack of pre-screening options. Villa Restaurant Group began with Michele Sotto of Naples, Italy in a single pizza place in New York City in ’64 has evolved to more than 350 locations across the world in more than 6 countries. Now, Villa runs more 12 brands including Green Leaf’s Beyond Great Salads, Villa Italian Kitchen, George & Martha’s in Morristown and more.

“These new openings will give us a great opportunity to expand the footprint and exposure of some of our fastest growing concepts, further our relationship with a great strategic partner and to debut the first-ever airport location of a world-class brand right here in our own backyard,” McNamee said.
